Common Ingredient Questions

Can a product be truly organic?

Yes, but that presents many problems. In order for a product to be truly organic, it would need to be a refrigerated product, from the manufacturing plant all the way to the consumer's refrigerator. Do you have Skin Care in your refrigerator? If not, then there is probably some type of preservative, emulsifier or other ingredient that is not organic, which allows that product to be put on a shelf. That's just the way it is. If you find a product that is 100% organic, please e-mail us at your earliest convenience so that we can understand and appreciate that product.

Can a product be truly natural?

That is a difficult question. The truth is that there are no regulatory agencies that deal with the issue of natural ingredients. Every Skin Care line claims to have natural ingredients and in truth, they probably do. Very few products are 100% synthetically derived. Don't let the word natural fool you. Legally, it doesn't mean anything. That doesn't mean to say there are no natural ingredients. For a detailed list of commonly natural ingredients, see our ingredient list.

Does Med3 Dermaceuticals use Organic and/or Natural ingredients?

Of course we do. We are constantly researching the latest developments in Skin Care and look to find the most natural or organic ingredients that we can. These include Essential Oils of mandarin, rosemary, chamomile and more, hydrolyzed wheat protein, vegetable based glycerin, iron oxide, Vitamin A, Vitamin C, Aloe Vera Gel and Jojoba Esters, among many others. Our goal at Med3 Dermaceuticals is to incorporate the maximum level of natural and organic ingredients to our line while still bringing you safe and effective skin care.

Do products with SPF sunblock protect you?

The truth is there are 2 types of rays, UVA and UVB. The SPF numbers that are found on sunblocks are only a reflection of UVB protection. Those are the rays that make you red. Research shows that the UVA rays still penetrate the skin AND those are the rays that are most responsible for aging and skin cancer. At Med3 Dermaceuticals, we know what it takes to protect you fully from the dangers of the sun. We include Titanium dioxide, a physical block that truly blocks out the UVA rays which age the skin. Not only are you affected by the sun when you go swimming, or to the beach, you are affected EVERY TIME YOU GO OUTSIDE, DRIVE OR SIT BY A WINDOW! Use Med3 Moisturizer , regular or tinted, every morning on your face, neck, décolleté and back of your hands for daily protection from the sun.

Why are there so few products in the Med3 product line?

At Med3 Dermaceuticals, we research skin composition and how skin behaves when it is in the process of healing. Using scientific technologies, we are able to mimic some of those same conditions to bring you products with one specific goal in mind. We see other skin care companies with so many products it would make your head, and wallet, spin. One product line has an Anti-Oxidant line, a Vitamin C line, an Anti-Aging line, a Firming line, etc. and it makes us wonder, "Why would someone have a Vitamin C line and not add anti-oxidants, or vise versa?" We also came to the conclusion that the skin around the eyes has the same nutritional requirements as the skin everywhere else, so we opted to have you use the serum and collagen around the eyes. It's fabulous! We researched the best ingredients and put them all in one product line with 9 products. Its all a golfer needs for complete skin care, whatever be the skin type or playing conditions.

Where are your products made?

Med3 Dermaceuticals is a California based Corporation. We take great pride in the fact that our products are formulated, produced and packaged in California. No questionable ingredients from questionable countries. Even our tubes are manufactures in California.

Is your packaging green?

As green as we can be. We have come to realize that most people throw away their tubes and caps. WE STRONGLY ENCOURAGE YOU TO RECYCLE ALL TUBES, CAPS AND BOXES! And encourage everybody you know. Most packaging is recyclable and you should encourage everyone you know to recycle everything they can. We also use the greenest shipping material for packing and shipping all of our products. Every little bit helps.

 

General Questions

Is there a specific type of moisturizer I should use for different seasons?

Yes, it is highly recommended that you adjust your skin treatment according to the season. Depending on your skin type, it is common to use a richer moisturizer in the cold winter season and a lighter one in the summer.

Why is it important to remove makeup before going to bed?

Throughout the day, dirt and makeup build up on the skin and can result in the premature development of fine lines. Mascara if left on, may cause eyelashes to break or even fall out. Even with no makeup, your skin accumulates dust, smoke and other pollution in the course of a typical day. Therefore, it is imperative to cleanse your face daily to rid the skin of impurities. Never apply skin treatment without first removing make-up.

If my skin is oily, should I still moisturize?

Oily skin is a common problem among golfers. The use of moisturizer benefits all skin types, including oily skin. Moisturizing maintains hydration and keeps the skin balanced. Obviously such skin does not need additional oil. med|3 moisturizers are entirely compatible with oily skin, replenishing essential moisture and protecting the skin.

What are the benefits of a daily moisturizer?

Daily moisturizers help to protect the skin while maintaining hydration throughout the day. Because the skin develops signs of aging due to UV rays, pollution and stress, the use of a daily moisturizer will have anti-aging benefits. The damage to your skin that 4 hours of golf causes cannot be undone in 4 hours. A daily moisturizing regimen will keep your skin healthy and glowing.

When should I start using anti-aging care?

Playing golf can cause premature skin aging that may not be noticeable at first but which rapidly accelerates with time. It is important that you use anti-aging skincare even before you notice the first fine lines, as a preventive measure. It is advisable to start using specific products in your mid-20s to prevent skin aging. Your skin will remain younger longer. med|3 provides skin treatment that prevents the formation of fine lines and wrinkles on a golfer’s skin.

Is there an allergy likelihood or possibility using these products?

There is no allergy likelihood as the possibility is near zero. Anyone can claim some displeasure to any product. The components of med|3 products are proven safe and the Collagen is 100% pure and indistinguishable by the body from its native collagen, therefore, rejection or allergy is less likely.

What happens if I stop using your product?

The benefit that you would have achieved to that point will gradually fade over several months (1 to 6) and you will appear as you did prior to treatment, no worse for sure. The benefit of maintenance treatments is cumulative. The med|3 100% pure Collagen is refreshed and added to. Remember, the skin is exposed to the environment while playing golf and is abraded by clothing, bathing, accidents, etc. This results in the gradual removal of the most superficial layers of the skin. The skin is normally rejuvenated from the basal layer, the deepest layer of the epidermis. Our products enhance the normal skin's physiology of growth and development and also prepare it for bonding with our Collagen. Aging is reduced and delayed by our products. The normal rate of skin aging and deterioration caused by exposure to sunlight and other factors while playing golf will resume when you stop using our products. You lose nothing by ceasing the use of our products, but the gain from using them is immeasurable.

Can you overuse a product?

The only product that can be 'overused' is the med|3 Exfoliating Cleanser. It should be used as directed only. Remember, the scrub is removing the most superficial layers of the epidermis and is stimulating the growth and development of new collagen and skin. If it is overused the skin will become very sensitive and tender for possibly a few seconds, minutes or to as much as a day. This is entirely reversible and there is no likelihood of any permanent damage.

May I use my usual makeup over your products?

Yes, there is no problem with applying other already FDA and Japan Ministry of Health approved skin products, including sunscreens on top of our products. There should be no interference or change in the appearance of your usual products. If you use our med|3 Exfoliating Cleanser, make certain to rinse well with water. The normal skin 4.5 to 5.5 pH should develop shortly and not affect any makeup applied subsequently.
